Codicil by which João Monteiro established that he wanted his wife to be his heir and the entail's administrator, with the obligation to celebrate masses in the Church of São Vicente de Fora, in Lisboa. After her death, it should succeed Luís Eanes and his heirs. He declared that his slaves should serve his wife until her death and after it they would be free. He also determined that he wanted to order the celebration of masses for the soul of the Infante D. Henrique, Mestre da Ordem de Cristo, in compensation for the institutor's negligence in the administration of his chapels.

Will (extract) by which João Monteiro and his wife Mécia Álvares established an entail, designating Luís Eanes Monteiro and his wife D. Maria to be its first administrators. They were due to order the celebration of two masses in the Church of the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora or Santa Maria da Graça for their and their parents soul. After the administrator's death, it should succeed their eldest son or, in his absence, their eldest daughter. If they died childless, it should succeed their eldest brothers or sisters. This entail is composed of houses in Lisboa, a "casal" called "Caos" in Ribeira de Loures, a "casal" in Arneiro da Arreganha, on the outskirts of Sintra, a "casal" in Cardosas do Reguengo do Monte Agravo, a "casal" in Cabeço de Montachique and a "casal" called "Rol" on the outskirts of Sintra. The surviving spouse also should to receive 1 000 000 réis to buy immovable goods to be incorporated into this entail.
