Contract and bond deed

Contract and bond deed between Estêvão Domingues, Afonso Eanes, executors of D. Vicente Martins' will, Vicente Pires, Estêvão Gonçalves, João Martins and Vasco Gonçalves, prior and raçoeiros of the church of S. Lourenço of Lisboa, by which the former entailed lands (casais) and a vineyard in the outskirts of Lisboa to the chapel instituted by the deceased. They obligated the prior and the raçoeiros to maintain 2 chaplains in that church who would be responsible for celebrating annual masses for the institutor's soul. Vicente Pires, Estêvão Gonçalves, João Martins and Vasco Gonçalves guaranteed they would fulfil the pious obligations instituted by D. Vicente Martins.

Court sentence absolving Afonso de Mexia, administrator of Vicente Martins' chapel, of the charges and attesting that he had fulfiled the entail's pious obligations. The judge ordered him to make a tombo of the entailed assets. Followed by the delimitation of those properties.

Tombo of the chapel established by Vicente Martins in the church of S. Lourenço of Lisboa, issued at the order of António Dias, Ouvidor dos Hospitais, Capelas, Confrarias e Albergarias de Lisboa. The chapel was administrated at that time by Jerónimo Mexia, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei.
