Bond

Bond by which Francisco Falcão de Almeida, in his name and in the name of his wife, Luísa de Mesquita, committed himself to give, every year, 4 500 réis to the church of S. Pedro of Alfama, taken from the revenues of houses in Rua do Alegrete, to support the celebration of annual masses for Rodrigo de Landrobe's soul, as it was requested by Isabel Fernandes de Figueiroa, Luísa's late grandmother and Rodrigo's first wife. That pious obligation would always be attached to those houses, even if they were sold.
Isabel Fernandes de Figueiroa had determined in her will that her heirs had to give, each year, 7 000 réis to the church of S. Pedro of Alfama. Its priests would be obligated to celebrate annual masses for her soul and for the soul of Rodrigo de Landrobe. She also had declared in a dowry deed that part of that value (2 500 réis) would be taken from the revenues of houses in Rua da Adiça, donated to her daughter, D. Luísa. Contains a copy of a letter-of-attorney.
Followed by a consent deed issued on 1620-07-17.
