Codicil

Codicil by which D. Leonor, widow of Eusébio Dias da Fonseca, governador da praça de Arronches, orders three more masses at Christmas in the chapel she and her husband established in the convent of Santo Agostinho of Estremoz, besides the other obligations.
Preceded by its opening deed, dated 1696-10-10, an approval deed and a ratification deed of the codicil.

Galega, Leonor (d.1696)

Will

Will by which Eusébio Dias da Fonseca, cavaleiro professo da Ordem de Cristo, and his wife, D. Leonor Galega, bequeath the remaining part of their properties to their sister and sister-in-law, Antónia da Fonseca, and afterwards to her son, Gonçalo Pestana, and his successors, as an entail, with an obligation of weekly masses in the convent of Santo Agostinho of Estremoz. If Gonçalo doesn't have children, it will pass to the second son of his sister, D. Francisca, since the eldest son will inherit entails from his parents. Eusébio declares he possesses houses in rua da Campainha which are entailed to a chapel which he administers, whose institution is in the hands of his nephew, Neutel Catela da Fonseca. He appoints frei André, his nephew, priest in Castela, as future administrator of that chapel.
Followed by approval deed of the will, a "rol dos legados", which should be always annexed to the institution, and a codicil which doesn't mention the entail.
