Certificate of a will made by doutor Francisco Morato Roma issued at the request of his son and heir, capitão João Morato Roma, in the context of a conflict over the inheritance of D. Maria de Andrade, Francisco's second wife.

Will

Will by which doutor Francisco Morato Roma, médico da câmara do rei, expresses his wish to be buried next to his second wife, D. Maria de Andrade, in the monastery of Nossa Senhora da Graça of Lisboa. He revokes his part of the will they had previously written, taking his properties in Alpalhão from the entail they had established. He confirms the part of the institution made by his wife, appoints his eldest son, João Morato Roma, as administrator of her chapel and divides the properties he had previously entailed equally between his children.
Followed by an approval deed and an opening deed of the will, dated 1670-01-23.

Will by which doutor Francisco Morato Roma, médico dos reis, and his wife, D. Maria de Andrade, express their wish to be buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça of Lisboa. They establish an entail with their third parts to which Francisco entails his properties in Alpalhão and D. Maria her properties in Vila Viçosa, with an obligation of 13 annual masses, 10 for their souls, over their tombs, and three for the souls of Torcato de Andrade and Beatriz Moreira, uncle and aunt of D. Maria, in the altar de Nossa Senhora of the monastery of Santo Agostinho of Vila Viçosa. The last one of them who survives can appoint the next administrator among their children, with preference for the male heirs, or among their closest relatives.
Followed by an approval deed and an opening deed of the will, made after D. Maria Andrade's death, dated 1667-04-04.
