Letter of possession

Letter of possession by which Francisco Fragoso, Cavaleiro Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, represented by his cousin, Gonçalo Fragoso, took possession of 2 olive groves and other properties located on the outskirts of Moura, which belonged to Isabel Soares' chapel. Francisco Fragoso had succeeded his cousin, Jerónima da Assunção, who had died in the convent of Salvador.

Will chart

Will chart by which Isabel Soares, Afonso Coelho's wife, established a chapel, entailing to it the third part of her assets, which included a rent (foro) of wheat taken from lands in Amareleja. Her mother, Leonor Domingues, would be the first to administrate the entail with the obligation of supporting the celebration of 2 annual masses in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Moura, where the instituidor's body would be buried. After Leonor Domingues' death, the entail would be transmitted to Jerónima Coelho, the testator' daughter, and subsequently to her descendants, who would only be obligated to celebrate 1 annual mass for the institutor's soul. If Jerónima Coelho left no offspring, the entail would be passed to Nuno Fragoso, the testator's brother. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1568-12-28.
