Tombo

Tombo of the chapel established by Tristão do Vale, located in Aljezur.
Composed by a petition of Tomé de Gouveia, a dispatch, a will chart of Tristão do Vale, a will chart of Pedro Borges Monteiro, an approval deed, various certificates, a letter of possession of Tomé de Gouveia and other legal documents.

Gouveia, Tomé de (flor.1610)

Will chart

Will chart of Tristão do Vale, establishing a chapel in the church of the Misericórdia of Aljezur, where he wishes to be transferred, as well as his parents. He entails properties to fulfill the charges and appoints Pedro Borges Monteiro, his cousin, as chaplain. Pedro Borges had to be ordained priest to be able to own it. If he died or was not ordained, it should stay for the poorest cousin he had in Beira. Pedro Borges should also leave the chapel to the poorest cousin he had.

Vale, Tristão do (flor.1569)

Will chart

Will chart of Pedro Borges. He orders his sepulture in the same grave as Tristão do Vale, his cousin, and appoints Gonçalo Fernandes de Melo, his brother, to the administration of the chapel he had instituted. If the last had already died or could not inherit it, nor had children, the administrator should be searched on the right line of the institutors, in Vermiosa, on the outskirts of Castelo Rodrigo, where the parents of the institutor were born. If they were not found, the administration would remain for Tomé de Gouveia, son of his cousin and cousin of the institutor, or for his poorest son, if he had already passed away.
He entailed his land of Combos (or Lombos) to other chapel and hands his administration to Marcos Fernando, his executor, who should appoint a son or daughter to succeed him. If he had not, António Fernandes, his brother, or one of his brothers or nephews should succeed.

Monteiro, Pedro Borges (d.1610)
