Administration letter

Administration letter to Gil Martins do Poço, cousin and nearest of kin of the founder Gil Esteves. The entail's first administrator and heir, Estêvão Gil, Gil Esteves' nephew, had died without a will, and his son, João Esteves, took possession of the estate. Since he was a cleric unable to possess the entail, Gil Martins do Poço requested it from the king and was granted possession, upon condition of fulfilling the founder's prescriptions.

Tenure contract

Tenure contract by which the Hospital de Todos-os-Santos, which administrated Gil Esteves' chapel, leased an entailed olive grove in S. Sebastião da Pedreira to Doutor Cristóvão Esteves de Alte, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, for 140 000 réis and the annual delivery of 2 chickens. He and his heirs were also obligated to give olive oil, each year, to the churches of S. Nicolau and S. Justa of Lisboa to light lamps in honour of the chapel's institutor. Contains copies of warrants issued on 1553 and 1537.
