Will chart

Will chart of Gonçalo Rodrigues Camelo, declaring that he wants to be buried in the church of Santa Maria Madalena of Lisboa, and designating Afonso de Almada and Lourenço Eanes, his criados, as his executors. He leaves to the administrator of Catarina Lopes’ hospital his houses, with charges, reserving the usufruct for his wife. He leaves half of all his assets to his wife and the other half to pay the established charges. Regarding the assets belonging to the entail and hospital of Catarina Lopes, which he enumerates, he leaves them to Afonso de Almada. The latter would become the entail's next administrator and would have the responsibility to nominate a successor, who should reside in the parish of Madalena.
The will chart is inserted in an opening deed of a will (dated from 1451-05-19) and is followed by an approval deed (dated from 1451-05-18).
