Entail foundation deed

Entail foundation deed by which Inês Álvares, widow of João Rodrigues Geraldes, establishes an entail with her properties in Sacavém and Lisboa, and a public debt instrument, donating it as a dowry to Baltasar Pires Machado, her husband's nephew, and to Bárbara Jorge, her great-niece, who must marry each other, and to their successors. She shall have the usufruct of the properties during her lifetime. The heirs of the entail shall give 4 000 reis to the monastery of Santo Elói every year for the care of 10 poor people. She reserves 25 alqueires of wheat, which her heirs must use to buy a property to entail to an obligation of three annual masses in the monastery of S. Salvador, Lisboa, where she wishes to be buried. This property shall pass to a person they appoint. She also appoints her heirs as administrators of the chapel of S. João Evangelista in the monastery of Santo Elói, which she possesses.
Part of the houses Inês Álvares entailed already had an obligation of twenty masses in the monastery of Salvador of Lisboa for the soul of Diogo Álvares, her first husband.
Baltasar Pires Machado is present and accepts these conditions. Bárbara Jorge is represented by her father, Sebastião Jorge, who accepts in her name.
