Letter of quittance

Letter of quittance of a share of Afonso Lopes de Bulhão's inheritance given by Frei Diogo de Bulhão to Isabel Gramaxo, his mother.

Bulhão, Diogo Lopes de (flor.1504)

Warrant

Warrant granted by Álvaro Botelho, Juiz dos Órfãos de Lisboa, to Diogo Lopes de Bulhão, giving him permission to renounce the administration of the entail of his father, Afonso Lopes de Bulhão, since he wanted to become a friar of the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça. He used his share of his father's inheritance to enter in that convent. António Lopes, his brother, would succeed him in the administration of the entail.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Francisco Lopes de Bolhão annexed an entail to his grandfather Lopo das Regras' chapel, appointing his mother Isabel Gramacho to continue to be its administrator. She was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. This entail is composed of a farm called "Bulhaco".

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Lopo das Regras appoints his second wife, Maior Afonso, as his universal heir, bequeathing her all his properties, including his quinta do Bulhaco, as an entail. He establishes an obligation of twelve annual masses for the soul of his first wife, Leonor Gomes, in the church of Alhandra, where she is buried, and twelve other masses for his own soul in the altar of Salvador of the cathedral of Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. After Maior Afonso's death, the entail shall pass to her daughter, Isabel Gramacho, married to Afonso Lopes, cavaleiro da Casa do Rei. If she is deceased, it shall be left to her husband, and to their children, afterwards.
