Certificate by Diogo Antunes de Sampaio, escrivão da Provedoria das Capelas, confirming the authenticity of a deed of partition of the properties of Joana de Campos. It was issued at the request of Jorge Mascaranhas and his wife, Joana Ferrão Castelo Branco, in the context of a dispute with D. Luísa de Noronha, over Joana de Campos's chapel.
Preceded by petition, explaining the letter had a hole in the place of the signature, and thus had to be authentified. Followed by dispatch considering it whole once more 1641-09-24.

Will chart by which Catarina de Campos, widow of Brás Pires, expresses her wish to be buried in the church of Santíssima Trindade, in the tomb of Jorge Freire. She appoints Briolanja de Vasconcelos, daughter of her executor, Jorge Ferreira, as her universal heir, excluding all her other relatives. She bequeaths her an obligation of masses on the holidays of the Virgin and during Lent in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, for her soul and the soul of her sister, entailed to her properties in Cadafais, which she inherited from her.
Followed by approval deed, dated 1583-10-08, and opening deed, dated 1583-10-14.

Will (extract) by which Joana de Campos expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. She bequeaths all her properties to her husband, Luís Lopes Madeira, or to her sister, Catarina de Campos, if her husband has already died, under the condition that they shall chose a nephew and a niece of both of them, that shall marry and unite their properties in an entail, which shall pass to their successors. This entail shall have the obligation of a daily mass. If her husband doesn't wish to entail his properties with hers, she bequeaths them, instead, to her closest relative, with an obligation of masses in the holidays of the Virgin and during Lent.

Will (extract) by which Luís Lopes Madeira expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, next to his first wife, Joana de Campos. He establishes an entail with his properties and the properties he inherited from his wife, fulfilling her will. He beaqueaths them to his second wife, Antónia de Lemos, during her lifetime, under the condition that, afterwards, they shall be inherited by his and his first wife's relatives, who shall marry, and by their descendants. They shall order a daily mass for his and his first wife's souls in their burial place. The casal da Carapinha, which Catarina de Campos, Joana de Campos's sister, inherited, shall also be annexed to this entail, if she dies without descendants. If these conditions aren't fulfilled, the properties shall be bequeathed to the Misericórdia of Lisboa, to employ in pious obligations.
