Will chart

Will chart of João de Mendonça founding a chapel in the convent of Madre de Deus of Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. He entails his houses in Lisboa with an obligation of two weekly masses. He appoints his eldest son, Manuel de Mendonça, who is captive, as his successor. If he dies before his father, the entail shall be inherited by another of his sons.
His heir will also have to order masses in the church of Nossa Senhora dos Anjos of Alhos Vedros for the soul of his aunt, D. Inês, which had bequeathed him certain properties with this condition, and order masses for the soul of João Falcão in Torres, as his aunt did.
Followed by approval deed dated 1578-11-29.
