Denunciation warrant of administration

Denunciation warrant of administration on behalf of Manuel Álvares Batalhas allowing him to judicially demand, at his own expenses, the administration of the chapel founded by Maria Gil, after denouncing its vacancy due to unlawfull administration by Jorge de Melo and during his lifetime only. The desembargadores do Paço should issue the respective administration letter, after presentation of this warrant and the sentence proving its vacancy to the Crown.

Will (extract) by which Maria Gil, Gomes Lourenço's widow, establishes a chapel in the church of S. Nicolau of Lisboa, appointing João Vicente to be its first administrator. He is bound to incorporate in it all her remaining assets, maintaining a chaplain who would celebrate annual masses for the institutor's soul and delivering, each year, bread, candles and alms for the poor to the cathedral of that city in memory of her late husband. The testator's body shall be buried in the church of S. Nicolau. Followed by a list of entailed assets.
