Court sentence absolving D. Branca Manuel, defendant and daughter of Tomé Lopes, from paying a maintenance to the plaintiffs, Vicente de Aragão e Ataíde and his wife, allegedly son-in-law and daughter of the same Tomé Lopes, who claim to be poor, so they can carry on a lawsuit in court about the free and entailed assets of their father and father-in-law, administrator of the entail of João Manuel de Lisboa. The defendant took possession of the assets of her father, both free and entailed to the entail of João Manuel de Lisboa.

He also declares that his father, Diogo Manuel de Lisboa, had ordered that the obligation of one anniversary that he fulfilled in his father's tomb, in the convent of Carmo, was to be changed to the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where he wished to be buried

Entail foundation deed

Entail foundation deed by which João Manuel de Lisboa, contador da moeda do rei, son of Diogo Manuel de Lisboa and Beatriz Vaz, establishes an entail in his parents' name, according to their will, by which they ordered to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, with one yearly mass for their souls, for which he entails the revenue of his properties in Lisboa. His wife, Joana de Ribeira, authorizes this entailment in the same day.
