Bond

Bond by which Jerónimo de Castilho, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, commits himself to give the friars of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, within 6 years, a public debt instrument of 18 000 réis, as it was promised by Pedro Castilho and his father, Diogo de Castilho, in 1613 and 1617. He also commits himself to donate, within 2 years, 25 000 réis to assure the chapel's maintenance.

Contract and bond deed between D. Pedro de Castilho, Vice-Rei de Portugal and Inquisidor-mor, and the friars of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa by which they donate the chapel of S. Tomás to the former, allowing him and his descendants to be buried in there. D. Pedro commits himself to give them within a year a public debt instrument of 50 000 réis, whose revenues should support the celebration of annual masses for his soul.

Pedro de Castilho, Bispo de Leiria, donates lands (casais) in Golegã to his nephew, Diogo de Castilho, with the obligation of celebrating masses for the souls of Pedro's parents in the altar of S. João Baptista of the Mosteiro de Santa Cruz of Coimbra. Diogo de Castilho gives his consent to this donation.

Domingos de Lisboa, fulfilling the wish expressed by his uncle, D. Pedro Castilho. He committed himself to give another public debt instrument of 10 000 réis to the convent within a year.

Will (extract) by which D. Pedro de Castilho confirms that he had established an entail and founded a chapel in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. He appoints Diogo Castilho, his nephew, as his universal heir, ordering him to sell all his remaining assets and to use the sale's profit to buy a public debt instrument or a property. It should subsequently be incorporated in the entail.
