[Includes a scribe’s note referring to the previous register of another administration letter in the same chancery book with no reference to the page].

Bond

Bond by which António de Paiva Brito, procurador das Capelas, takes the administration of the chapel established by Francisco de Barros and Cecília Luís, with the houses entailed to it, while a new administrator isn't appointed. The guardian and friars of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa accept the obligation to pray the masses established by the institutors for 20 000 reis of alms taken from the revenue of those houses.
Francisco de Barros and Cecília Luís had established a daily mass in the convent of Santíssima Trindade, entailing to it three houses in Lisboa, and appointing their nephew, Jerónimo Ribeiro, as its administrator. However, Jerónimo Ribeiro had denounced the administration, as well as the convent of Santíssima Trindade, because the houses didn't grant enough revenue, rendering the chapel vacant.
