Account of the administration (extract)

Account of the administration (extract) mentioning that in the church exists the following records: an agreement deed of 1436 signed between the clergyman Martinho Lourenço and Vasco Lourenço Caldeira, grandson of Maria Eanes, and both of them administrated the chapel; a sentence of 1446 by which D. João, archbishop of Lisbon, ordered that Martinho Lourenço pay the entire pious obligations by his own; and a sentence of 1436 by which D. Diogo, archbishop of Lisbon, ordered that Martinho Lourenço e Vasco Lourenço Caldeira, chapel's administrators, pay a moio of wheat to fulfill the pious obligations.

Acórdão em relação which opposed the plaintiff Procurador da Coroa against the defendant Diogo de Sampaio de Melo ordering the sequestration of the entailed assets of the chapel since that defendant didn't made the tombo as it was ordered in the administration letter of 1611. The new tombo and this acórdão must be registered in the book of the Capelas da Coroa of the Torre do Tombo and in the book of the Provedoria, and to put an inscription in the grave of the institutor. The the tombo of the chapel founded by Gonçalo Esteves, that is attached to this one, must be registered as well.

The desembargadores do Paço should issue the respective administration letter to the latter, after presentation of the resignation letter provided by the former.

Grace warrant of administration

Grace warrant of administration to Diogo de Melo appointing him to the administration of the chapel founded by Maria Eanes and the chapel founded by Gonçalo Esteves, both in São Martinho church in Sintra. The queen D. Leonor had donated these two chapels to the late João Machado, grandfather of the above Diogo de Melo, and to his descendants, but after his death a court sentence ordered that the administration should belong to the crown. This grace is for Diogo de Melo's lifetime regardless the court sentence.

Diogo, arcebishop of Lisbon, giving the administration of the chapel founded by Maria Eanes to Lourenço Martins Mourato, Leonor Vasques and Inês Vasques, during their lifetime, and reduces the pious obligations. It mentions another sentence issued by D. João, arcebishop of Lisbon, in 1408-12-12, by which is known the pious obligations and that Vasco Lourenço and Lourenço Martins Mourato were appointed to the chapel's administration.
