Acquisition letter

Acquisition letter through which Joana de Moura, António de Moura's daughter, bought some houses located at S. Miguel of Alfama, in Lisbon, from António Fernandes and Catarina do Vale, his wife, for 100 000 réis. The houses were bought following the request of priest Diogo de Moura, executor of António de Moura's will. It is followed by the letter of possession, issued on 1561-07-26.

Court sentence

Court sentence issued by the licenciado Afonso Mendes de Vasconcelos, juiz do cível in Lisboa, judging a petition filed by Veríssimo de Moura, petitioner, asking that he be recognized as legitimate administrator of the chapel instituted by António de Moura, his father.
The sentence gives the content of the petition as proven, recognizing that the petitioner was the eldest son of António de Moura and, as such, the legitimate administrator of the chapel he had instituted.

Mandate

Mandate issued by Doctor Miguel de Coimbra, provedor das Capelas, Hospitais, Confrarias, Albergarias and órfãos of Lisbon, ordering that some houses located in Castelo Picão, owned by the chapel of António de Moura, be pledged to Simoa de Torres, for non-payment of rent.

Petition

Petition presented by Veríssimo de Moura stating that António de Moura, his father, had instituted a chapel in the monastery of São Domingos of Lisbon, of which Maria de Moura, his niece, who had died without children, was the administrator of the legitimate administration of the chapel belonged to him, suppliant, as he was the institutor's son. He asked that she be given possession of some houses, entailed to the chapel, located in Castelo Picão.

Will chart

Will chart by António de Moura ordering that his remains should be buried in the convent of São Domingos of Lisboa. He orders the purchase of a property, up to 100 000 réis, obligating his heir to use its revenues to celebrate masses in that convent. He appoints Mariana, his daughter, to be the entail's first administrator, who should be succeed by her eldest child. If she dies childless, it would pass to Susana, her sister. If the latter also dies childless, it would be transmitted to her older brother.
