Will chart

Will chart by which Baltasar Barreto, Maria Barbosa de Almeida's widower, establishes a chapel in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa, entailing houses in Rua de Lopo Infante. He appoints Amaro Varela de Faria, his wife's grandson, to be its first administrator, with the purpose of aiding him to become an honourable clergyman. The latter is obligated to support the celebration of 120 annual masses in that church and to pass the entail to his closest male relative.
He also bequeaths houses in that city to Antónia da Silva, his servant and former slave, with the obligation of celebrating 5 annual masses in that church. She is free to leave them to whomever she chooses.
