Administration letter

Administration letter to Cristóvão de Barros of the six chapels founded by Gil Lourenço de Sabadim. These chapels had been bequeated by the founder to different administrators, but the obligations weren't being fulfiled and the properties had been dispersed. As a descendant of the institutor, Cristóvão de Barros requested their administration, promising to fulfil the obligations and to reacquire the lost properties. The king complies and orders the issuance of tombos which should contain this administration letter copied, since the institution had been lost.
Gil Lourenço de Sabadim had founded four chapels in the monastery of Sabadim. The first one was to be administered by his cousin, Vasco Martins, and his descendants, and was entailed to his casais do paço. The second one had an obligation of five annual masses entailed to his houses, which he bequeathed his nephew, Afonso. The third one had another obligation of five masses, entailed to his casal reguengo de Sabadim, which he bequeathed to Gonçalo, son of Domingas, criada of Domingos Martins de Carvalho de Alva. The fourth one had an obligation of 20 annual masses entailed to his remaining properties, and was to be administered by Álvaro, Maria, Constança and Tomé, Gil's criados, who had to order five masses each.
He had also founded two chapels in the church of Padroso, Arcos de Valdevez, entailed to his properties in that parish, designating Maria de Além and Vasco, son of Domingos, mancebo who lived in Padroso, as administrators of the first one, and Maria de Além, wife of João de Além, as administrator of the second one.
