Subrogation warrant

Subrogation warrant to D. Branca Manuel, administrator of Diogo Fernandes and João Manuel de Aguilar's chapel, allowing her to subrogate and sell some of the houses entailed to the chapel, located in Terreiro de S. Paulo, Elvas, evaluated in 56 000 réis of annual income, for a public debt instrument of 70 000 réis.

Will

Will of Luís Rodrigues de Elvas founding an entail and annexing his chapel of S. Francisco Xavier, in the church of S. Roque, to it. He appoints António Gomes de Elvas, his nephew, son of his nephew, João Rodrigues de Elvas, as his successor in his entail and in the entail of Caspolima, founded to him by his parents in their will. He also orders to buy 2000 cruzados in properties or a public debt instrument to entail to the entail or chapel founded by Diogo Fernandes de Aguilar and his brother, Padre João Manuel de Aguilar.
Will approved in 1672-09-02 and opened in 1673-04-26.

Will

Will by which Diogo Fernandes de Aguiar, widower, and his brother, padre João Manuel de Aguiar express their wish to be buried in the chapel of S. João Batista of the convent of Santa Clara of Lisboa, established by their uncle, João Manuel de Lisboa. They appoint the last one of the of them to die as universal heir and executor of the other, with the obligation of establishing an entail with both their properties, which shall be annexed to the entail of their uncle. They also establish a chapel in their burial place with a chaplain that shall pray a daily mass for their souls, and an obligation of one annual mass to the image of Nossa Senhora da Pombinha in the cathedral of Lisboa. They appoint their nephew, Tomé Lopes Manuel, administrator of their uncle's entail, and his descendants, as administrators. If he doesn't have any successors, the entail shall be given to their niece, D. Branca Manuel.
