Will chart

Will chart of Violante Travassos, ordering her grave in the church of Nossa Senhora de Mourão, in Tentúgal. She instituted a chapel, entailing her untested assets to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the convent of Santa Cristina, and appoints Rodrigo Moniz, her brother, as first administrator. After her death it was to be inherited by António Moniz, her nephew and executor, and then by her eldest legitimate daughter. However, if there were no sons or daughters, the male relative would have preference. In case of non-compliance, the administration would be left to the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.
The respective approval deed follows (dated 1609-03-07).
