Annexation deed

Annexation deed by which Luís César, administrator of his parents' entail, and his wife, D. Cecília de Eça, annex to the entail they possess the legitime they inherited after the death of Isabel Gonçalves Batavias, in 1583. This consisted of two public debt instruments and the casal da Mata, for which some of the properties Luís César had received had been subrogated.

To do so, he subrogated many entailed properties and lease contracts left by his parents for other properties, lands and public debt instruments. The public certificate also confirms the subrogation of those properties.

Contract and bond deed by which Vasco Fernandes César and Inês Gonçalves Batavia receive the chapel of the invocation of Jesus from the priests of the convent of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, to use as their burial place and family chapel. They establish an obligation of a daily mass and order the engravement of the institutor's coat of arms on the chapel. In return for the donation of the chapel and the fulfillment of such obligations, the priests receive a public debt instrument worth 16 000 réis. Their son, Luís César, is present and agrees with the conditions.

Entail foundation deed by Luís César and his wife Cecília de Eça. They entail their third parts, consisting of properties in Alenquer and Benavente, and annex them to the entail established by Luís' parents, Vasco Fernandes César and Isabel Gonçalves Batavias. They designate their eldest son, Vasco Fernandes César, as administrator of both entails. They also donate more money to the priests of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade to add masses for their souls to the chapel established by their parents.
