Miguel Rodrigues Ferreira, on the behalf of João de Andrade de Albuquerque, administrator of his grandmother’s chapel, gives these houses in perpetual lease to priest Luís da Cruz de Castilho, who will pay 6000 réis of annual rent to the administrator, as well as 860 réis to the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa for the accomplishment of the masses established by Isabel Dias. All the clauses are detailed. It inserts a royal licence by which the king authorizes this contract because the houses were in a very poor state (dated 1686-10-05). It also inserts a letter-of-attorney by which João de Andrade de Albuquerque authorises Miguel Rodrigues Ferreira to represent him in this tenure contract, referring that he succeeded his late brother Domingos Francisco de Andrade de Albuquerque in this administration (dated 1685-07-27).

Subrogation warrant on behalf of Francisco de Castro, administrator of the entail founded by D. Maria de Castro, with mass obligations in the monastery of Santa Maria of Cárquere, district of Resende, allowing him to sell and subrogate some entailed pensions, rents and lease portions that were charged in Cadarssaes, distritc of Sabugal. He had several dificulties in collect those pensions, not only in cause of the distance of 24 leagues, but also for the resistance posed by his tenants, referred as rustic and indomitable people, used to answer the collections with turmoils. Besides, as those lands were near to the frontier with Spain, they could be easily lost in occasions of war, what could result in clear losses to the entail. He reached an agreement with the tenants in order to sell them the lands for 7.000 cruzados, purchasing other properties to be entailed with the money that would result from the sale.
