Will

Will by which Catarina Eanes, Afonso Pires' widow, bequeaths the third part of her assets to her eldest son, Pedro Afonso, with the obligation of supporting two chaplains in the churches of S. Nicolau and S. Domingos of Lisboa. They would celebrate annual masses for her soul, and for the souls of her late husband and her parents. After Pedro's death, his son would inherit the entail or other person chosen by him, who should belong to her lineage. She chooses to be buried next to Afonso Pires' grave, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of the referred city. She mentions that her late husband was Contador do rei.
