Codicil

Codicil of Tomás de Bairros and Joana da Costa, his wife, revoking their will (dated 1559-10-29) and previous codicil. They order their grave in the same chapel as Jesus, in the church of Nossa Senhora do Funchal, in Ameixoeira. They instituted an entail and appoint whatever survives from them heir and administrator. They reduce the determined charges and appoint Damião Borges, to administer it after the death of both, if he married Isabel da Costa, Joana da Costa's niece. His son would succeed him. If the marriage did not materialize, the administration would fall to António Gonçalves and then to his eldest son.

Denunciation warrant of administration on behalf of Egídio da Cunha de Eça allowing him to continue with the denounce made by his deceased father and judicially demand the administration of the chapels founded by Isabel Caiada and Justa de Gamboa, Tomás de Barros and Cristóvão da Costa. The desembargadores do Paço should issue the respective administration letter, after presentation of this warrant and the sentence proving its vacancy to the Crown.
