Administration letter

Administration letter to Francisco de Aguiar, for his lifetime only, of the chapel of Joana Ferreira, in the church of S. Silvestre de Unhos, in the outskirts of Lisboa, succeeding to his late father, António de Aguiar. The administration letter was required by his mother, Luísa Pais, because he was orphan from father.

Court sentence

Court sentence handed down by Doutor João Lucena Homem, desembargador and vigário-geral in Lisbon, on behalf of Francisco de Aguiar, containing the exemplification of a papal bull for reduction of charges celebrated at the Hospital dos Pobres, in Unhos, in the outskirts of Lisboa, issued by Pope Clement VIII. The sentence confirms the information that had been sent to Rome to issue the bull, thus confirming the reduction in the charges of the chapel instituted by Joana Ferreira.

Royal sentence

Royal sentence concerning the sucession in the administration of the chapel of Joana Ferreira, determing its nomination by the king and that Guiomar Ferreira, niece of Joana Ferreira, who claimed the administration, could not hinder the grant of the administration letter to Francisco de Aguiar. In addition, it was proved that the administrator should be someone outside the institutor's lineage, so the king ordered the grant of the administration letter to Francisco de Aguiar.
