Inquisitio made by Baltazar Mendes da Costa, tabelião, under the authority of Gonçalo Vaz Pinto, juiz ordinário of Godim, following a petition presented by Pedro Guedes de Magalhães. The interviewed witnesses confirm that the petitioner was the legitimate son of Pedro Guedes da Fonseca Alcoforado and that his ancestors were legitimate descendants of the Guedes, lords of Murça. They also demonstrate several other privileges and elements relating to his family and the house he administers and about the family coat of arms and the patronage of the churches of São Miguel and São João of Lobrigos.
