A petição que antecede esta sentença, assinada por Pedro de Araújo, marido de Helena de Caires, refere que os bens desta capela são os seguintes: uma fazenda na Ribeira de São Francisco que produzia trinta pipas de vinho ao tempo de sua instituição; quatro foros que rendiam dois mil e quatrocentos réis; seis casas no Funchal com um rendimento de quarenta mil réis; outros bens ilegíveis no dito documento.
