Royal provision issued on behalf of D. Beatriz Francisca de Lima wife of João de Barros Cardoso, administrator of the entail founded by Cristóvão de Barros Cardoso, after she accused Francisco de Barros Machado, curator of her husband, of selling and dispersing several entailed assets that he should otherwise administrate and keep, avoiding dispersion. Then, the King ordered that the magistrates of the Relação do Estado do Brasil and other magistrates should no more recognize Francisco de Barros Machado as curator of João de Barros Cardoso, but rather António da Silva e Sousa, designated as new curator.
