Sentence by which it was declared that Pedro da Silva, vice-rei da Índia, used his assets to be incorporated into his father and brother's entail, with the obligation to give 120 000 réis to the priests of the Monastery of Nossa Senhora do Desterro, belonging to the Franciscan Order, for the celebration of two daily masses. He designated his nephew Martinho Afonso de Melo, conde de São Lourenço, and his wife D. Madalena da Silva, to be its first administrators. This sentence also mentioned that Martinho Afonso de Melo bought some public debt instruments of 60 000 réis in Almoxarifado do Algarve, 200 000 réis in Três Casas de Lisboa, 200 000 réis in Casa dos Cinco and more 158 041 réis in Almoxarifado da Tábula Real de Setúbal. After his death, this entail was succeeded by his son Luís de Melo e Silva, conde de São Lourenço, and his grandson Martinho António Afonso de Melo e Silva, the most recent administrator.
