Warrant issued by the king D. Manuel to bacharel João Vaz on behalf of Lopo de Sousa, administrator of the chapel and hospital founded by Pedro Escuro in Santarém, ordering that the remains of the institutor's body should be brought from it's current grave and again buried in the church of the Hospital Grande de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, near the Altar-Mor, where a signboard with the institutor's name should be placed as well as the information that he founded the chapel and hospital. The king ordered that a daily mass should be preached on the chapel, regardless of a reduction made on behalf of the administrator Lopo Afonso, and that the current administrator, Lopo de Sousa, and his successors should give 12.000 réis each ear for the upkeep of the hospital and masses.
