Will made by Maria Rodrigues Sarzedas in which she ordered the foundation of two entails. The first entail should be equivalent to the mayorazgos of Castille, as she expressly declared, and would be composed of vineyeards, a tapada and public debt titles worth 150.000 réis, over which she imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one daily mass celebrated on the chapel of Santa Maria Madalena of the church of S. João, in Castelo de Vide, where her body should be buried. For the second entail she bequeathed a sum worth 550.000 réis that should be applied on the purchase of public debt instruments from whose revenue the entail should be maintained, with a perpetual pious obligation of another daily mass. To administrate both of them, she named her brother frei António Rodrigues Sarzedas during his lifetime, with the condition that he would appoint administrators to succeed in both entails after his death, and she also ordered that those entailed properties could never be incorporated to the patrimony of the Order of Malta.
