Capela de Maria Afonso Ferreira instituída em 1570-02-02 com encargo anual de quatorze mil réis para uma missa diária e duas cantadas, ofertadas com dez pães e duas canadas de vinho por alma de suas irmãs Ana e Inês Afonso e de três mil réis aos pobres do Hospital do Funchal, imposto nas casas e serrado acima do Carmo.
Uma petição de 1620 refere que o administrador Simão Acciaiolly requere uma redução de capela em virtude de a fazenda render "pouco por tudo ser bicho e não querer dar canas e prantando de vinhas como (...) vai fazendo mal se pode pagar vinte mil réis. O testamento menciona uma escrava.
Herdeiros: seus primos Francisco e Maria Ferreira.
