Capela do Dr. Luís Spínola, tesoureiro-mor da Sé do Funchal, instituída em 1637-09-01 com encargo de duas missas anuais, imposto num lugar de vinhas acima da Igreja de São Tiago.
O documento de sub-rogação da capela, datado de 1837-02-28, refere que as duas fazendas deste vínculo nos Louros, em São Gonçalo, e avaliados em seiscentos e quarenta e seis escudos e cento e vinte centavos, foram substituídas por uma terra livre no sítio de Santa Catarina em Santa Cruz, no valor de um conto, cento e vinte mil escudos.
Primeiro e último administradores: sua sobrinha D. Teodora Spínola e o morgado António José Spínola.
