Will by which D. Mécia Couto, widow of Gaspar Leitão da Fonseca, expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, in the tomb of her father, Afonso de Freitas. She appoints her niece, D. Beatriz de Freitas, married to Jerónimo de Brito Caldeira, as her universal heir, refering she had already donated her her properties through a dowry deed. She also bequeaths her niece a public debt instrument set in the Casa da Imposição dos Vinhos, with an obligation of 24 masses. Her other niece, D. Maria de Melo, shall have its usufruct during her lifetime. She also declares that she has paid the obligations of masses established by her sister, D. Juliana da Costa, entailed to a lease in Pombal.
Followed by approval deed, dated 1636-02-21, and opening deed, dated 1637-04-16.
