Will chart by which Jerónimo Rodrigues Cação, Cavaleiro Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, relinquishes his right to be administrator of the entail established by his father, Jerónimo Rodrigues, composed of a sugar mill ("fazenda de Poto") in Ilha de S. Tomé, since he is destined to become a friar in the monastery of Batalha. If his mother, Maria Cação de Mendonça, died before him, the entail should be administered, only during his lifetime, by the convent of S. Domingos of Coimbra. After the testator's death, it must be inherited by his sister, D. Beatriz, or her eldest son. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1598-05-30.
