Will chart by which António Fernandes de Elvas expresses his wish to be buried in the chapel of Rei Salvador of the monastery of S. Salvador, Lisboa, of which he is the administrator, as heir of his brother, Jorge Fernandes de Elvas. He orders the acquisition of a rent or of a public debt instrument to entail to an obligation of weekly masses to be ordered in this chapel. He declares he won't fulfil the instructions his brother left him in a memory written after his will, dated 1618, regarding the annexation of certain properties to the entails founded by his father and grandfather, since those instructions would disinherit him. He orders the annexation of the improvements he made in the houses of this entail to be considered as the third part of his third which, according to the institution, should be annexed to it. He also orders the annexation of more properties in case there are still debts left by his brother or himself to the entail.
He establishes an entail with the remaining part of his third part, which he bequeaths to his minor daughter, Mariana. He appoints his wife, D. Maria de Lima, as tutor of their daughter during her minority. This entail shall be joined to the ones he already possessed. He annexes to it his houses and a public debt instrument in Elvas and orders the sale of other properties to acquire more assets.
Followed by the approval deed of the will.
