Will chart by which Berengária Gil de Carvalho, colaça do Duque de Bragança, widow of Rui Gonçalves de Castelo Branco, bequeathed all her estate to her nephew, Diogo Lopes, estudante de Direito Canónico, determining that he should build a chapel in the convent of S. Domingos of Benfica, in which her body and her husband's remains had to be buried. Diogo Lopes had to entail to it assets appraised at 10 000 réis, whose revenues would support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass. The institutor declared that the friars had to ask the King for permission to administrate the chapel and its assets. If they were not allowed to administrate it, the entail would be inherited by Diogo Lopes and his descendants, who had permission to bury their remains in the family mausoleum.
Followed by an approval deed issued on 1477-04-05.
