Scope and content
Will chart (extract) by which Pedro Vasques de Pedra Alçada, cavaleiro, establishes a chapel in the church of S. Nicolau of Lisboa, entailing lands in the outskirts of that city ("casal da Madalena") and lands (casal) in Peroleite, Sintra. He appoints Inês Geraldes, his wife, and Gonçalo Vasques, his cousin, to be its first administrators, obligating them to celebrate annual masses for his soul and for the soul of his late brother in that church, where his body would be buried next to his father's remains. He declares that he is instituting this chapel in order to fulfil his parents' will.
