Will (extract) by which D. Francisco de Faria, bispo de Martíria, appoints as his universal heir D. Filipa de Matos e Noronha, daughter of António de Matos e Noronha and Dona Catarina da Silva, and niece of D. Sebastião de Matos de Noronha, arcebispo-primaz, and of D. António de Matos de Noronha, bispo de Elvas and inquisidor-geral do reino. He requests that she entails 200 000 reis of leases from his properties to annexed to the entail established by D. António de Matos de Noronha, to be inherited by her successors under the same conditions. He establishes three daily masses in his chapel, in the convent of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios of Lisboa, which shall be prayed by three chaplains: one for the soul of D. Sebastião de Matos de Noronha, another for his own soul, and another for D. Filipa de Matos e Noronha.
