Court sentence determining that Manuel de Sousa da Silva Côrte-Real was the rightful successor of the entail instituted by Pedro de Eça and Maria da Silva, despite the claim made by the convent of Santa Clara of Lisboa. The convent argued that the entail had to be administrated by one of its nuns, D. Antónia de Eça Côrte-Real e Mendonça, who was the sister of its last administrator, D. Luísa de Eça. However, since one of the clauses of the institution forced the administrators to attach the third part of their assets to the entail, and neither the convent or D. Antónia could fulfil those obligations, it had to be delivered to Manuel Côrte-Real. He was a descendant of D. Garcia de Eça, grandfather of the institutor, and the closest male relative to the entail's last administrators, D. Diogo de Eça and D. Luísa de Eça.
