Will chart

Will chart by which Maria de Almada, daughter of Pedro Gomes de Almada and Joana Vaz da Mota, bequeaths various houses in Lisboa and two farmsteads (quintas) in Arrentela to her sister, Catarina da Mota. After Catarina's death, those properties would be divided and must become part of two different entails. One of them, composed of houses in Lisboa, must be administrated by Leonor Godinho, Maria's niece. The other one, composed of houses in that city and the two farmsteads in Arrentela, should be administrated by Maria's nephew, António da Mota. Leonor, António and their successors were obligated to celebrate annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa.
The testator declares that her body should be interred inside the grave of her parents and grandparents, located in that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1547-11-18.
