Written request by which Paulo Soares asked the Provedor das Capelas to conduct an inquiry regarding what was the state of the houses entailed to António de Oliveira's chapel, what was the houses' value and who were its residents. Paulo Soares had been previously asked to present the chapel's account of administration and declared that the revenues of the houses in Rua da Boa Viagem were insufficient to support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass for the institutor's soul. Followed by a due diligence deed issued on 1654-10-27.

Written request by which Fernando Rodrigues, mercador and executor of Bartolomeu Gomes and Beatriz Carreira's will, asks the prior of the convent of S. Domingos of Benfica to collect the barrel of wine and the olive oil which the couple had left them and to celebrate annual masses for their souls each year. Fernando declares that for 2 years the friars of that convent neglected their obligations, since they did neither pick the wine and the olive oil nor celebrated the masses.
Followed by a reply of the prior of that convent, written in 1494-01-17, stating that due to the fact that its friars did not give their consent to the clauses of Bartolomeu and Beatriz's will, they were not obligated to fulfil what was declared in it.

Written request of João Rodrigues Marinho, attorney-in-fact of D. Inês de Bettencourt, requesting the ownership of the real estate bequeathing to D. Inês de Bettencourt by Ambrósio de Brito, her late husband, according to his will.

Will (summary) by which Bartolomeu Cristóvão bequeaths lands (casal) in Linda-a-Velha to his brother, João Cristóvão, obligating him and his successors to spend annually 15 libras on the purchase of linen and burel, which should be used in the making of clothes for poor people. After his brother's death, the properties should be inherited by Catarina Bacias and her descendants. The institutor establishes another entail with houses and lands in Lisboa, instituting the obligation of spending 5 libras each year on the acquisition of fabrics destined to be used in the making of clothes for poor people. He appoints João Martins, executor of his will, to be its first administrator, who would be succeeded by his eldest son. João Cristóvão, João Martins and their successors are also obligated to support the celebration of annual masses for the soul of the testator in the church of the convent of Santíssima Trindade, where his remains would be buried.

Will (partial) by which Vasco Pereira, cavaleiro da casa dos duques de Bragança, bacharel em Leis e em Artes , designates his wife, Berengária Eanes, as his universal heir and executor and disinherits all of his other heirs, revoking his previous wills. He declares that he and his wife have established to bequeath their nephew, Álvaro Pereira, their farmstead of Roças, as an entail, with the obligation of ordering five annual masses for their souls over their burial places.

Will (partial) by which João Vaz annexes his third part to the entail founded by his father and bequeaths it to his eldest son, and to his successors, according to the dispositions of his father's codicil. He orders the administrators of the entail to always annex their third parts to it.

Will made by Beatriz Lopes, in which she ordered the foundation of an entail, composed of properties in Porto Martins, Terceira island, with a perpetual mass obligation of a weekly mass and an yearly mass in All Soul's day, celebrated in the church of Santa Cruz, in Vila da Praia. She named her husband Manuel de Barcelos as first administrator, with the condition that he should marry their daughter Catarina. If Catarina ever married, she should inherit the entail, and, if not, the administration should be given to their son Luís. The administrator should appoint one of his children to administrate the entail, and if none of them had children, the administration should be transmitted to one of her nephews, sons of Maria Lopes, except the eldest, who was entitled to the entail founded by her grandparents.

Will (extract) by which Bento Moreno established an entail, incorporating some olive groves, a "ferregial" and vineyards in order to fulfill the pious obligations. He designated his cousin João Galego to be its first administrator and, after his death, his children.

Will (extract) by which Vicente Afonso Valente, cónego de Lisboa e prior da igreja de Côja, ordered the executors of his will to give 100 libras taken from the revenues of his properties in Póvoa to an unidentified church. He left all those properties and houses in Lisboa to his brother, Lourenço Afonso, determining that they had to be transmitted to his eldest legitimate son and subsequently passed to his descendants. His brother was asked to give, each year, 100 libras to an unidentified church for the souls of D. Sancha and D. Goutinha, their aunts.

Will (extract) made by Maria Martins by which she appoints Martinho Afonso as administrator of the estates she owned, among which the one belonging to Casa Nova, which she inherited from Martinho Lourenço.

Will (extract) by which Nicolau da Veiga entails his properties and those of his deceased brother, Belchior da Veiga, with an obligation of one daily mass in the convent of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, Lisboa, in the chapel where he and his successors shall be buried. Extract of the will of João de Oliveira, father of Rui de Oliveira, ordering the executors of his will to pay for the masses of the chapel founded by Afonso Domingues de Brião since the time of the death of his father-in-law, Rodrigo Eanes, who administrated it, to the present.

Will (extract) made by Francisco Dias Delgado and his wife Catarina Moreira, in which they have ordered the foundation of an entail and chapel in the convent of Santo António of Ipojuca, devoted to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, with a perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted. The entail would be composed of a grange that they possessed in Porto de Galinhas, with some fishing sites, houses and also thirty calving cows, that should be perpetually maintained in this quantity. They left detailed instructions for the ornates of the chapel that should have an altarpiece in stone and an image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, being ornate with the liturgical colors: white, red, purple and green. The administrators would be henceforth obliged to deliver 10.000 réis to the convent in every year in order to sustain the masses and keep the chapel's ornates. To administrate it, they named their son Francisco Dias Delgado during his lifetime and, after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If Francisco had no descendants or died before any of the institutors, the administration would be handled to their granddaughter Joana, daughter of their daughter Ana Mendes and António Freire. If she also had no descendants, the administration would be transmitted to their grandson Manuel, son of Maria Barbosa, their daughter. All administrators would be obliged to live in Pernambuco's captaincy or otherwise lose the administration of the entail. They have also appealed to the authorities the Crown and the Church to surveil the fulfillment of the conditions imposed on this will.

Will (extract) made by Maria Dias in which she ordered her grave in the chapel she had in the church of São Pedro of Évora. She entails all her possessions, located in the outskirts of Évora, for the maintenance of the chapel and the celebration of charges. She appointed Gonçalo, Beatriz Esteves' son, to be the first administrator during his lifetime. In case he was still a minor, the administration would belong, until he came of age, to João Eanes. After Gonçalo's death, he shall be succeeded by Maria Esteves. After her death, her shall be succeeded by her oldest son, male or female.

Will (extract) by which Afonso de Albuquerque established an entail, appointing his son Brás to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. This entail is composed of two farms located in Alhandra and Atouguia, and a vineyard located in Alhos Vedros.

Will (extract) by which Álvaro Fernandes establishes an entail with all his assets, appointing his grandson, Pedro, Isabel Fernandes' son, as its first administrator. He obligates him and his successors to celebrate annual masses for his soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, where he chooses to be buried, next to his father, mother, brothers and wife, Catarina Pires. If his offspring becomes extinct, he declares that he prefers that the entail's administrator should be a scholar. Followed by an extract of a list of Álvaro Fernandes' assets, which was issued after his death.

She bequeaths her her houses in the parish of Santo André, Lisboa, with an obligation of 10 annual masses in the church of that parish for her soul, the soul of her son Bento Eanes, and the soul of João Martins, quartenário da Sé de Lisboa, who shall have their usufruct during his lifetime. Will (extract) by which Lourenço Eanes and Leonor Fernandes, his wife, establish an entail with houses they have in Lisboa, instituting the pious obligation of celebrating masses for their souls in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa and in the church of S. Mamede of that city.

Will (extract) by which Vasco Eanes de Côrte-Real expresses his wish to be buried next to his wife, D. Joana da Silva, in the chapel of Henrique da Silveira, their brother-in-law, in the convent of S. Francisco of Xabregas, while the chapel he is building isn't finished. He orders that his son, Manuel de Côrte-Real, builds a chapel for him and his wife in either the convent of S. Francisco of Xabregas or in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, to which he entails his casal of Grajal, in Belas, with the same obligations as established in his wife's will.

Will (extract) of António Rodrigues founding a chapel in the Church of São Miguel de Foz do Arouce and designating Escolástica Rodrigues, his daughter, as his successor. This entail is composed of lands, vineyards, orchard, and olive groves in Lousã. Will approved in 1646-06-03.
