Petition

Petition by António do Rio de Sousa, nephew of Isabel do Rio, requesting the lifting of the motion on his properties, entailed to his aunt's chapel, while he doesn't present her will. He explains that he couldn't present it because they were attached to autos de agravo which were still in progress.
Followed by dispatch dated 1626-07-30, sentence condemning the person renting the houses to pay what he was owed and account, dated 1631-05-16, considering António do Rio de Sousa free of charges, and explaining the obligations were of a weekly mass in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, and were being paid since at least 1615.

Certificate confirming the content of a certificate of possession dated 1695-02-28, not transcribed, by which it was proven that padre frei Martinho de Sousa, religioso do convento do Carmo, took possession of the properties entailed to the chapel established by Isabel do Rio in 1695-02-23. He inherited them from padre frei Francisco de Sousa, religioso no convento da Graça, of the order of Santo Agostinho.
