It inserts a declaration that proves that Manuel Castro delivered 500 000 réis to the tesoureiro-mor Francisco Sanches de Baena to make this purchase (dated 1662-06-17), as well as the dispatch to Manuel Castro’s petition to realise it with the conditions demanded (dated 1662-07-11).

Dispatch

Dispatch of the petition presented by Manuel Borges de Castro, fidalgo da Casa de Sua Majestade. The supplicant had stated that his late aunt, D. Violante de Castro, had contracted with the priests a public debt instrument of 25 000 réis to pay for the fulfilment of perpetual pious charges at the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa. This obligation was secured against the income of his Quinta de Santa Catarina located in Povos until he purchased and delivered the public debt instrument to the priests. Manuel Borges de Castro delivered 500 000 réis to the tesoureiro-mor Francisco Sanches de Baena to purchase a public debt instrument at the Almoxarifado in Torres Vedras to free his property from this obligation.
