Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which João Alves Soares declares that D. Paula da Silva, grandmother of his wife, had bequeathed him a vineyard with an obligation of ordering two weekly masses and other pious obligations in the chapel of Jesus of the church of S. Julião do Tojal. He requests his wife to entail the farmlands in Lisboa which they both inherited from D. Paula da Silva with an obligation of six weekly masses in the church of the convent of Madre de Deus de Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. He also requests her to entail these properties to the chapel of her grandmother, if the ones entailed aren't enough to fulfill the obligations. After her death, they shall be inherited by one of their children. If she has no successors, they shall pass to the heirs of his entail.
