Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Garcia de Castilho and his wife, Guiomar Feio, commit themselves to buy a property, whose revenues should support the celebration of annual masses for their souls in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa. After the death of one of the members of the couple, the other one must fulfil that obligation and pass the property to whomever he or she chooses.

Dowry deed

Dowry deed by which Garcia de Castilho donates all his assets to Simão da Cunha, his second wife's nephew, in order to support his marriage to Brásia de Azevedo, stepdaughter of Gaspar Velho, Rei de Armas de Portugal. Thus, he establishes an entail with his farmstead in Unhos, his houses in Lisboa and rents (foros) in the outskirts of that city, obligating its future administrators to support the celebration of annual masses for the institutor's soul and the souls of his two late wives, Maria de Melgária and Guiomar Feio, in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição of the church of Santa Justa. After Simão da Cunha's death, the entail should be inherited by his eldest son.

Justa de Lisboa, by which the former commits himself to give 1 500 réis each year to them to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul and the souls of his two late wives. That obligation shall be maintained with the revenues of his lands in Unhos, which he could leave to whomever he chooses.
