Will

Will by which Maria Pedrosa, Belchior Lopes' widow, bequeaths all her patrimony to Beatriz Carvalho, her stepdaughter, and to her husband, Gaspar João, tintureiro. She orders them to buy a public debt instrument of 20 000 réis, using its revenues to support the celebration of a daily mass for her soul and the soul of her late husband in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa. The testator declares that her body must be buried near the chapel of S. José of that convent. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1643-11-26 and an opening deed issued on 1645-03-14.
